Christy Duffy, PhD, HSPP

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Christy Duffy is a Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider in Psychology in the state of Indiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling and counselor education from Indiana University, and earned her PhD in counseling psychology from The State University of New York at Albany, specializing in sport psychology.

Her work with eating disorders began during her graduate training, where she gained extensive experience in multidisciplinary treatment, sport psychology, and research on athletes and eating disorders. Since 2010, Dr. Duffy has devoted her career to eating disorder care, beginning as an eating disorder specialist for the Cornell Healthy Eating Program (CHEP team). In 2013, she returned to Bloomington to open her private practice, later expanding it into Under the Umbrella—a collaborative care practice designed to meet the complex needs of those recovering from eating disorders.

With over a decade of specialization, Dr. Duffy is deeply committed to helping individuals of all backgrounds heal their relationship with food and find peace with their bodies. Her approach focuses on multidisciplinary treatment that integrates evidence-based approaches, compassion, and a systemic perspective that honors each person’s unique story and needs.
